About us
We’re a four-part harmony a cappella quartet bringing joy and warmth to every event with our Sweet Adelines International roots.
Sue is a founding member of the Clef Hangers. She Sings bass. Sue has been singing barbershop for 50 years. She has performed with many different choruses and quartets. She is a member of The Vista Hills Chorus, who took home medals in the 2025 Sweet Adelines International Competition.

Tracy Popenhagen
Tracy has been singing in choirs and choruses for over 30 years, but only singing barbershop since 2022. They sing Lead in the San Diego Chorus and is a founding member of the Clef Hangers. When not singing, Tracy loves to travel and hang out with friends and family.
Sally Theriault
Stephanie has been singing in choirs and choruses since the age of six, developing a lifelong love for vocal music. Her barbershop journey began when she joined the San Diego Chorus in Jan 2024, and later expanded as she became a member of the Clef Hangers in June 2024. Her favorite part of quartet singing is exploring the unique harmonies and working to blend as a group. When she's not sining, Stepanie works as RN in the ICU and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their two dogs.
Sally has been singing in church and school choirs since childhood, and discovered barbershop when it came to Borrego Springs about 30 years ago. She has been a Baritone in the San Diego Chorus since 2013 and a member of the Clef Hangers since its beginning in 2022. Sally also competes with Lux A Cappella, a mixed chorus in the UK, which allows her to indulge her love of travel. Desert wildflowers, hiking and sewing are a few of her other passions.

Our typical set runs about 30minutes, tailored to your event’s needs. But we can also do shorter, singing telegram style events.
